Project Description

Hart & Hickman provided operation and maintenance services for a methane monitoring system at a 300-acre former municipal landfill (redeveloped into a recreation park) for four years.  Due to the aging sensors, H&H completed design and specifications for a cost-effective upgraded methane monitoring system for occupied structures on and near the site. The new methane sensors were installed in the Golf Proshop, the ballfield concessions building, and two maintenance buildings. The system has on-site audible and visual alarms (consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act) if significant methane concentrations are indicated.  The methane monitoring output is communicated to emergency response personnel using a commercial monitoring company
