Hart & Hickman worked hand-in-hand with developer Merrifield Partners to complete the first phase of redevelopment at the Bryant Park gateway mixed-use development project along a former industrial corridor. H&H assessed complex environmental issues at multiple properties resulting from over 500,000 sq ft of industrial manufacturing operations in nine buildings. H&H worked with State regulators and the developer’s site designers to arrive at risk-based remedial solutions, resulting in more than $1,000,000 in remedial cost savings. Other portions of the Brownfield site, including a C&D dump site, will be developed during Phase II construction and will include multi-family housing, medical professional buildings, and office buildings. A creek-side greenway is proposed at the base of the C&D dump site.
