Project Description

Hart & Hickman completed a vapor intrusion evaluation for residential properties located near a former textile coating facility as part of Brownfields redevelopment of the former facility. The site was impacted with various organic compounds and contamination was suspected to have migrated in groundwater beneath a nearby residential area. H&H prepared a work plan for deeper soil gas sampling as an initial step to determine if further evaluation of the vapor intrusion pathway was warranted. H&H coordinated access with the property owners to conduct the sampling and performed the sampling with minimal site disturbance. Results of the sampling indicated that further evaluation of the vapor intrusion pathway including indoor air sampling was not warranted.
