Project Description

Hart & Hickman was selected by a municipal client to complete an asbestos survey of a former office/warehouse sturcture built in the 1950s, a dairy building built in the 1970s, and former farm equipment/vehicle maintenance shop built in the 1930s. The buildings are located on the site being re-developed as a Fire Department Headquarters.
After completion of the asbestos survey, H&H assisted the municipality in preparation of demolition specification documents and provided oversight for abatement of over 24,000 square ft of asbestos-containing plaster, 47,000 square ft of asbestos-containing roof system, and over 18,000 square ft of asbestos-containing floor tile. H&H also oversaw the collection, management, and proper disposal of universal wastes within the buildings prior to demolition.
