Ralph McGee Publishes Thesis on Geomorphology

Ralph McGee of Hart & Hickman's Charlotte office had his thesis on the topic of geomorphology published. Ralph completed his thesis while earning his masters degree in Earth Science at UNCC. His thesis examined how multitudes of small erosion gullies on hillsides in the Piedmont have worked in combination to shape the Piedmont landscape over 100s and 1,000s of years.

Hart & Hickman Welcomes Bryan Wence to Our Raleigh Office

Bryan Wence joined our Raleigh office as a Staff Environmental Scientist in late October. Bryan obtained his BS in Environmental Technology and Management with a minor in Environmental Toxicology from NCSU in December 2011 and has experience with a wide-variety of field sampling techniques and geotechnical testing.

Nathan O'Leary Awarded CHMM Credentials

Hart & Hickman's Nathan O'Leary successfully passed the rigorous examination process required for his Certified Hazardous Materials Manager credentials. The process began in late 2010 with news from the certifying board that he had been approved to sit for the comprehensive exam.

EPA Announces 2012 Brownfield Grant Awards

EPA has announced the winners of the 2012 Brownfield Assessment and Cleanup Grants, which total more than $69 MM nationwide. Hart & Hickman was successful in bringing $400,000 to the City of Hickory in this round of grants.
